Atletico Madrid to enter race for top Arsenal target
Arsenal face a battle to land Alexandre Lacazette this summer with Atletico Madrid keen on the striker, according to Marca.
The 25-year-old France international has been in impressive form for the Lyon in Ligue 1 this season, finding the back of the net 22 times in 23 appearances so far.
Lacazette’s displays have attracted the attentions of several European clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, and now Atletico Madrid are believed to be interested in the forward. The La Liga club are thought to be drawing up a list of potential replacements for Antoine Griezmann should the forward leave the Vicente Calderon this summer, and Lacazette is understood to be on it.
Arsenal have been long linked with a move for the Frenchman and are reportedly preparing to launch a bid for him once again at the end of the season.
A bid of around £30million would be enough to see Lyon cash in on Lacazette, whose contract expires in June 2019.
